Abstract

The ediToRial Team
I would like to express my since thank to all those who have been directly involved in the peer reviewing and editorial processes of the Journal over the last 12 months (please see the names below).  I addition I would particularly like to thank my Associate Editors Helen Craddock, Garry Fleming and Frauke Müller who provide the backbone of the editorial review process.  On this occasion I would like to offer my specific thanks and best wishes to Dr Chris Lynch who has recently demitted this office to take up the role as Editor of the Journal of Dentistry.  We wish him every success in his new role.  Most particularly I would like to offer my sincere thanks to the reviewers who have been reviewing the submissions this year – and in many cases over a considerably longer period of time!

Becoming PaRT of The Team?
The rate of submissions to the Journal continues to rise and so the work for the team is increasing.  It is appropriate therefore that we now look to review our current procedures and strengthen our reviewing and editorial team.  We are therefore looking to revise firstly our Editorial Board membership.  If you would be interested in becoming a member of the Editorial Board or simply reviewing for the Journal we would very much welcome your interest.  In a similar manner we would also welcome expressions of interest for the currently available Associate Editors posts.  Please forward a one page curriculum vitae outlining in particular the areas that you would be most able to contribute regarding assessing the papers submitted to the Journal to: Mrs Linda Erickson, Editorial Assistant, School of Dental Sciences, Framlington Place, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE29 8DD.
